All Devices
The All Devices report is mainly used as a navigation tool. Unlike the Enterprise Summary report, which has a list of all your storage devices by collection date, it lists all devices regardless of the collection date. This can be useful in cases where you need to find details on an array whose data isn’t regularly uploaded, or maybe an array that’s being sun-setted.
Field | What it Means | When Should I Worry? |
---|---|---|
Collection Date | This is the date for the data collection you’re viewing. Remember, its listing everything, so you’ll see the same systems over and over with different dates. It’s very useful to use the grouping feature on this grid. | N/A |
Device Name | The name of the device | N/A |
Within 7 Days | Tells you whether or not this device has been uploaded within the last 7 days. This can be useful in finding data that was scheduled to upload automatically, but for some reason wasn’t received. | If you can’t find the data for a particular collection date, you can confirm here whether or not the data are missing. |
Within 1 Day | Tells you whether or not this device has been uploaded within the last day. | If you can’t find the data for a particular collection date, you can confirm here whether or not the data are missing. |
Array Status | Tells us whether VSI considers the array actively in use or not. | If you see an array that you know is active displayed as inactive, or vice versa |
Device Type | This is the type of device we’re viewing | N/A |
Upload Date | This field displays the date the file was uploaded. Sometimes we re-upload files as we improve our back-end data processes. Tracking the upload dates separately from the collection dates helps with this. | N/A |
Firmware | This displays the firmware revision for this device | N/A |
